Sadly, I haven't seen him in anything except LotR. I could see Lupin in him, because he was reserved, but vaguely threatening. There was power there, but not as overt as the other men encountered.
Plus, y'know, he's really pretty. And has a nice voice.
Seachange is a brilliant Australian series which is what caused him to really come to the fore in Australia, at least.
He plays a man called "Diver" Dan, who has a Past. Most of the time he's really clever and witty, but from time to time you see his Past shine through, and lo, there is lots of Angst.
