Been sent home from work for possible pig death? Something ill related, anyway. Don't feel well, can't walk in straight lines, coughing fit to explode the brain. Confronted on my return with a bill that made me go NUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! Checked online to see average annual water bill for a one bed property: £337. Bill I just received for the past two months: £213.58. POSSIBLY SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE. Have phoned water company, have not sobbed down the phone at them woo self restraint because OMG how much was I tempted, now need possibly all the hugs. All.

:(

ETA: the swine flu website says I have to take antivirals but I have to get someone else to pick them up but I don't have anyone else to pick them up. D:

Today sucks.

Oh no!! *hugs*

Go check the cistern on your loo, that's the most common source of massive water bills. Can you hear water running into it when you think it should be full already?

HUGS!

I'd offer to go and get them but I have no idea where you are, and little enugh idea where I am most of the time!

I agree with checking the loo, that was what hiked my water bill up (and eventually caused untold flooding and crying).

Hugs again.

*hugs you*

Definitely a leak in your bathroom! Might be the toilet, might be the shower -- you may even have a leak in the walls that is causing all the problems without being obvious, like causing water damage. Can you call the water company and have them come do a pressure check? If there isn't the correct amount of water pressure coming out of the faucets, then you might have a leak.

::HUGS YOU:: I'm sorry you're having a craptastic day darling :(

ACK. My mum has just has some sort of flu, very possibly swine-related and had exactly NO antivirals. This does not seem to have done her any harm.

Take your temperature if you can. Keep an eye on it. Take paracetamol to get the fever down and drink lots of fluids. Try to eat if you can--soup is good because it manages to be both liquid AND nutritious. Score! Milk and cottage cheese are apparently good at stimulating immune response to viruses, for whatever reason. Stay warm and don't push yourself into doing things your body isn't ready to do.

*wraps you up*

completely off topic okay but I HAVE WORKED OUT why it is so hard to write your five things, and it's because all the situations I come up with HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED ON THE SHOW. Tony is CONSTANTLY trying to impress Tim.

Are you on a water meter? If so, you may have had something similar to me when I first moved into my flat. The water company sent someone round to read the meter, who then proved unable to tell the difference between a 3 and a 9. As a result, I was presented with a water bill bigger than ones generated by 10-room mansions.

Try checking the meter reading on your bill against the actual meter. A big difference would indicate either an estimated reading or an inept meter-reader. If the readings match, then you may well have a leak which definitely needs to be located and fixed.

Either way, you should not have to pay that bill in full right now. :nods:

I hope the illness is not piggy related, and passes quickly.

Have a snuggle! *squishes*

Do not worry overly about not having antivirals - on average, they only reduce the duration of the illness by a day. Trust me on this. It was in my exam. xxx
