Been sent home from work for possible pig death? Something ill related, anyway. Don't feel well, can't walk in straight lines, coughing fit to explode the brain. Confronted on my return with a bill that made me go NUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! Checked online to see average annual water bill for a one bed property: £337. Bill I just received for the past two months: £213.58. POSSIBLY SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE. Have phoned water company, have not sobbed down the phone at them woo self restraint because OMG how much was I tempted, now need possibly all the hugs. All.
:(
ETA: the swine flu website says I have to take antivirals but I have to get someone else to pick them up but I don't have anyone else to pick them up. D:
Today sucks.

Date: 2009-09-10 12:05 pm (UTC)Go check the cistern on your loo, that's the most common source of massive water bills. Can you hear water running into it when you think it should be full already?

Date: 2009-09-10 12:24 pm (UTC)I'd offer to go and get them but I have no idea where you are, and little enugh idea where I am most of the time!
I agree with checking the loo, that was what hiked my water bill up (and eventually caused untold flooding and crying).
Hugs again.

Date: 2009-09-10 12:34 pm (UTC)Missy, call smaller ok? She lives in your general area and can go pick up the necessarys for you. Water company CLEARLY bonkers, don't worry-they should straighten it out, can't see you having to pay that ridiculous sum. Do you want me to call you?
*hugs you*

Date: 2009-09-10 02:57 pm (UTC)Take your temperature if you can. Keep an eye on it. Take paracetamol to get the fever down and drink lots of fluids. Try to eat if you can--soup is good because it manages to be both liquid AND nutritious. Score! Milk and cottage cheese are apparently good at stimulating immune response to viruses, for whatever reason. Stay warm and don't push yourself into doing things your body isn't ready to do.
*wraps you up*

Date: 2009-09-10 05:41 pm (UTC)Try checking the meter reading on your bill against the actual meter. A big difference would indicate either an estimated reading or an inept meter-reader. If the readings match, then you may well have a leak which definitely needs to be located and fixed.
Either way, you should not have to pay that bill in full right now. :nods:
I hope the illness is not piggy related, and passes quickly.

Date: 2009-09-10 05:50 pm (UTC)Do not worry overly about not having antivirals - on average, they only reduce the duration of the illness by a day. Trust me on this. It was in my exam. xxx
