I have toddler pout of impending woe. Usually I'm, like, actively sick. Worrying about throwing up or whatever. And now I'm just. Everything hurts and I dislike it and there's nothing to distract me. And I'm trying to decide whether I can get dressed and down to the shop for some soup within twentyminutes and the answer is no but I haven't admitted it to myself yet. Fuckin' naps. I'm not supposed to leave my flat either. There's just nothing I want to eaaaat. Maybe I can suck on a hash brown or something because apparently the Tamiflu or whatever it's called will make me sick if I don't eat.

IN CONCLUSION: distract me with something? Rec a feelgood film, possibly? Or some art? I can't deal with reading.

I'm like the worst patient ever except Stephen Maturin.

Highway and Secretary are films *I* want to watch right now, but I don't own them and have no attention span, so you should watch them for me. Also you could totally rewatch the fluffier episodes of Avatar, that helps.

I just watched Newsies as a way to forget cat-awfulness. It was v. effective. Can be found in the places that are the usual.

(Took me forever to type this but refuse to give into drunk typing just yet.)

Feelgood films for me are mostly romcoms, and some of my favorites are:

50 First Dates. BEST. ROMANCE. EVER.
Ever After. No, I do not have a Drew Barrymore thing. (I possibly have a Drew Barrymore thing.)
My Fair Lady. YESxMillion.
Kate and Leapold, if only because it has Hugh Jackman in a cravat.

HEE ME TOO!!! I mean, okay, disregarding the central premise that Uma Thurman is hotter than her, which I JUST DO NOT BUY OKAY, I adore her character and the fact that they have phone sex and how completely slashy the two central female characters are and how it's essentially a film about women and there is a decent female friendship in there and and and! :D

*hugs you and your toddler pout*

When I want cheering up, I watch Die Hard 4 and/or He's Just Not That Into You (basically, when I'm sick I want Justin Long; it's a thing).

New picspam got posted, and it's from Love&War. (http://schtroumph-c.livejournal.com/130083.html?style=mine)

A lot and a lot of photos of McGee in love of Tony without knowing it and of Tony pretending he's not in love with Tim. No thinking required.

When in doubt, go for Disney. All the High School Musicals (esp Two, which has the gayest game of baseball ever played) The Mighty Ducks Trilogy, and Enchancted.

Since I couldn't send you actual soup, you get a picture of Rodney drinking some instead. :)

I have no scuttled out of my lair long enough to buy the ingredients for leek and potato (LEEK AND POTAAAAATO LEEK AND POTAAAAATO - this food will always and forever bring on Ride of the Valkyries) soup so now I can fester in my flat a few more days in a slightly happier frame of mind. ;)

Leek and potatoes: they are so heroic, to sacrifice themselves in your time of need. :)

Yay for getting the fixings for real soup! \o/ (As opposed to canned soup, which is all I am capable of making. ^^")
