Okay, two questions:

1) do you care if your films make sense? For reference, Die Hard 4.

2) who do I know in Canada who might suffer me a couch next summer for a night or two, provided I can afford it by then?

Thank you, that is all my brain can spell at present.

If the explosions are awesome enough, no. But they have to be really great explosions. Even Transformers doesn't qualify.

But I've never seen Die Hard 4. Hmm. Does it have good explosions?

IT HAS GOOD EXPLOSIONS. IT HAS THE MOST RIDICULOUS MEANS OF DESTROYING A 'COPTER EVER. IT HAS JUSTIN LONG.

omg now i actually want to see it.

MAYBE MY BROTHER HAS IT ON DVD, or could be convinced he needs it. I mean, he is an almost-teenage boy. It's mandatory, right?

The first one is by far the greatest American Action Movie ever made.

They kind of go down hill from there.

I like number 4 okay. Also I like Samuel L Jackson. They are films that I mostly watch when drunk because if I start thinking my brain wants to kill me, though.

Not action movies, no. As long as they don't work too hard at trying to make sense and end up going out the other side of completely ludicrous instead.

Loved Die Hard 4, didn't examine it too closely for logic and real-world applicatbility, which bits' bothring you?

1) I liked Blade: Trinity. So....no.

2) Depending on whether I'm in the process of road-tripping across the country or not (and whether I have an apartment), my theoretical couch is yours.

Die Hard 4 totally made sense!

...Okay, it kind of didn't, but I'm completely in love with the director, so I'd defend it roundly.

Usually, movies should make sense. For example: I wasn't too crazy about Juno because it made the extremely complicated adoption process look pretty simple.

1) It depends - are there enough pretty people/explosions/fight scenes to make forget about the plotholes?

2) Probably not, seeing as it's likely I'll have to be sharing with a bunch of roomates as it is :/

1. Yes, I like my films to make sense.

2. No. Only by proxy. And I don't like sharing my Canadians.

That's kind of the thing - I want to move to Canada in a couple years, and even though it depends on where I can wangle a job, I'd like to go to different places to get some idea of where I'd LIKE to be. So: anywhere. :D
