Oct. 10th, 2009 10:28 pmIf ever I needed a happy place, Slings and Arrows is it. It's not real, it's full of caricatures and slapstick and farce inter cut with such painful incisive commentary, and that's the point. It's theater in a way that television isn't supposed to be, and it makes me smile and laugh and sniffle and clap my hands and almost fall off the sofa because it's curved and doesn't have an edge. It's a completely different love to the fandom squee I'm used to, less in the pit of the stomach and more somewhere in the middle of my chest.

Date: 2009-10-11 01:35 am (UTC)My brother has been teaching a theatre management course. He intersperses a lot of S&A clips through the lessons, to make up for the fact that he's basically teaching his students how to do Richard's job. XD
