If ever I needed a happy place, Slings and Arrows is it. It's not real, it's full of caricatures and slapstick and farce inter cut with such painful incisive commentary, and that's the point. It's theater in a way that television isn't supposed to be, and it makes me smile and laugh and sniffle and clap my hands and almost fall off the sofa because it's curved and doesn't have an edge. It's a completely different love to the fandom squee I'm used to, less in the pit of the stomach and more somewhere in the middle of my chest.

Slings & Arrows is brilliant, in part because it is SO real. I've met nearly every character on that show. I've worked with a lot of them. It's the happiest of happy places.

Wow. The end of 3x01 was unexpected. O.O

Unexpected s3 is very unexpected. Most people I know are neatly divided into s3-is-the-best-ever and s3-is-totally-the-worst.

Slings & Arrows is the best thing ever. Everything about it is appealing! Everything the traffic will allow...

My brother has been teaching a theatre management course. He intersperses a lot of S&A clips through the lessons, to make up for the fact that he's basically teaching his students how to do Richard's job. XD

*snorts*

Richard makes me sad, because he is so boring. Even when he tries not to be. And he's so easily led, in the pursuit of a less boring life. :((((

Oh, I LOVE Slings & Arrows. It's one of the best pieces of television ever, AFAIC. It's a show I've happily pimped to many, many non-fandom people and they've all loved it. And Geoffrey Tennant is Paul Gross' best role ever.

Geoffrey Tennant is epic and wonderful, his rants on acting and suchlike - god, the Ophelia motivation speech. I died a little.
