The tortoise WINS, okay?
Jan. 8th, 2010 04:47 pmI kind of slowed up on learning new things in knitting for a while; getting sorted for Christmas and such, plus my general working life meant I didn't really want to be concentrating on that too. I'd learned various stitches, casting on and binding off, how to make decent scarves and apparently a hot water bottle cover, and I was set for a while.
Now I've got to the point where I can knit while watching TV, kind of automatically, which obviously means that it's time to move on again. Just been reading about how to make a pattern with knit and purl on stockinette stitch, which is awesome if entirely too county - next up on the buying list, stitch markers!
Pattern provided for this part in the learning process was a heart.
Obviously I have just spent ten minutes plotting out a skull and crossbones pattern to practice on instead. >:D
