Okay, I totally get the comic sans snobbery, but the thing is that it has an a that is shaped like the way most people write an a, okay? And for my asylum seeking students that is awesome because wtf how do you know that a is not a different letter to the a most people draw? So my use of comic sans is actually a practical application of available tools.

I HAVE FONT DEFENSIVENESS, OKAY.

It's also supposed to be easier for people with dyslexia to read.

I dislike it, but it has it's uses, and at least it's not papyrus!

I don't mind Comic Sans, when it's used in the right way. As in, not for paragraphs/body text *shudders*

And darn I don't have a design geeky icon. The music one will have to settle for now.

Oooh, I never noticed the "a" thing with Comic Sans. I mostly just think that it's a cute font. Come to think of it, I wonder why not more people write an "a" with the little arch on top, considering that's how many computer fonts display it?

We use comic sans for kiddie handouts in the museum. I reckon that when you're seven reading is tough enough without having to cope with letters that aren't shaped how you've just been taught they are shaped. Um - well, you know what I mean.
