Some random musics for you, things I have been enjoying lately:
Get Fly by Atmosphere - a moment of lounge music that changes to awesome playground-chant-esque hip hop that then segues into something completely different at around the three and a half minute mark.
Mosquito Song by Queens of the Stone Age - seriously pretty acoustic guitar song. Not who I was expecting it to be by when I heard it, not at all. Sounds like a desert campfire song.
Untitled by Noisia - from an awesome electronic/drum&bass group, a tiny piece of haunting piano music. Was sampled and played backwards in a song called Paper Doll on their new album, but this is definitely the more beautiful.
Nanou 2 by Aphex Twin - Drukqs is kind of an amazing album because Aphex is king of the crazy and the chaotic, and then there were the tracks that were picked up by Classic FM because they're beautiful. This one is hard to fathom, how something so deceptively simple can at the same time be so extraordinary and so satisfying and so emotionally affecting. It makes heart string tugging feel like something physical. :)
If you like any I'd love it if you told me, but I know it's easy to forget.
(Oh, I forgot to ask, does anyone have Concrete Schoolyard by Jurassic 5 to share?)
