Mondo years ago I managed to splash a chemical in my eye at work. Since I worked in a hospital at the time, I worked my way down the hall to the ER and had it flushed and checked out. They put various drops in it to check to make sure I hadn't damaged it.
Now I was still pretty new to health care and didn't realise that one of the drops they used had an interesting side effect - it turned the white part of my eye bright orange.
And no one in the ER thought to mention it.
Which all in all explains why one of my patients who was coming out of his alcohol induced haze went a bit street rat crazy when his respiratory therapist came in to give him his breathing treatment with one green eye and one orange eye ...
