No idea where you'd find it online, but my first encounter with Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells was actually in the orchestral remake by the London Philharmonic, and I'd love to be able to find it again because it was just as good as the original pioneering bit of electronica/sampling. Also fairly sure that one of the late Oasis albums was also covered by the LPO, but then again I wonder if the LPO could make up for Oasis.

Ah! I thought for sure you'd have them - Apocalyptica is a cello quartet that does Metallica covers, among other stuff. Gorgeous music, though. Though really they're kind of cheating as it's hard for a cello to sound anything but gorgeous...

...Unfortunately I don't seem to have much by them, I had a CD but apparently I never ripped it? and the CD must be in storage sonmewhere. So these aren't as good mp3s as they should be, but:

I uploaded a bunch. Some ate string quartet (Maroon 5, Evanescence, Enya), some are piano tribute to Josh Groban, and the ones with brackets saying the original artist are from an album called Symphonic Rock by the Royal Philharmonic. :)
