Wow. I loved it. I genuinely loved it. I never cried in films, but...

I forget. More, too. It was a beautiful film. I have to admit, though, that I'm looking forward to the extended edition. Because... there was a whole cool Faramir and Denethor bit, then... nothing. No more Faramir. Just a little appearance next to Eowyn at the end. And other bits, too.

Sean Astin and Billy Boyd completely blew me away in this film. Sam's been vaguely annoying in the past two films, but this one he amazed me. I've never really been overly keen on Sean Astin, in everything I've seen him in, but this has made me revise my opinion. And I've totally been lusting after Billy since the first film, but this one... bloody hell. And his *voice*! I have to see that I'm pleased that after this film I won't have to modify telling people who I fancy with "You know, the Scottish one." Now, I think, people'll be able to tell Merry and Pippin apart.

I think I would have enjoyed this more had I not finished reading Return of the King that morning. I'll have to watch it again. But I was gonna do that anyway. *g*

Two incidents where my mind betrayed me...

1) Everyone bows to the Hobbits. They're all wearing different colours. I think "POWER RANGERS!!"

2) Gandalf was fighting cool-ly, and my initial reaction was "Hey! Action Transvestite!"

So yeah... good week. Saturday- Nexus. Drunkness. Sunday- family meal, presents. Monday- tree decoration. Tuesday- EDDDIIEEE! (He was brilliant, naturally). Wednesday- ROTK!!!.
