I could have done without that NCIS, I think. You know sometimes you have to be all perspectivey about things, and think about how much worse other people have it, and how frankly lucky you are when it comes down to it that it feels like a selfish act to think for a moment about yourself?

And then sometimes you have to acknowledge that there is that scraped out feeling behind your breastbone, though. And it may not be half so bad as it could be, but it still kinda hurts.

I wasn't bothered about the things they meant me to be, though. They don't seem to get understated heartbreak, that they can do touching without breaking the characters, so they always have to bring in these outsiders to create the pathos. Which doesn't really work. I mean, if Tim had created that montage for Ducky it would have been amazing. Y'know?

I could've done without DADT and stuff. Dislike.

I dunno. It was clumsy and about DADT, a combination which I was not happy with. My heart strings ache from the clumsy tweaking, I didn't get upset about the things they wanted me to because it was done badly. Abby was cute? :/

I think that's a Bob Newhart thing (or whatever his name is). It was the same as NCIS emotion always is - someone brought in from the outside to create pathos, which works less well than smaller character moments that actually involve the team - see Tony and his father. It was okay, but it also hit a personal button that I wasn't really aware was there, and I ended up crying about entirely the wrong things. XD
