I am reasonably intelligent, I am quite amusing, I can entertain, I do not melt people's eyes with my ugly.

Why am I not getting more sex?

I too know this difficulty. And it's tragically practical -- meet no new people, know no new people. But how dull and uncomfortable is it hanging out with strangers -- and you have to do it more than once! -- until you have found one with whom you can hold a conversation?

Sorry -- this is not meant to sound like shutting you down; I've just had some yucky times tied to this outlook. It sounds like an attractive idea in theory -- we are open-minded believers in the goodness of sex for pleasure's sake! go! be free! -- and yet in practice, the 'string-free, attractive person sexing' approach brings out so many giant douchebags. I am speaking from several unpleasant experiences that didn't even go all the way. Not fun. Prefer celibacy.

It does help to get enough confidence to straight up ask people out though and to keep doing it until you find success, which is not quite the same thing.
