Ugh I feel like such a douche, since I keep talking about how important teaching is to me and all that and right now it's coming a veeeeeeery far second to sleep. I'm not planning anything right now, I'm just teaching. Not good. (Also my feet have gone crippley, am gonna ask head of department if I can please wear trainers to be more comfily screwed up).

I have to teach class in the morning. I have barely looked at my powerpoint. Mostly I plan to berate them for not studying. Sleep is way more important than figuring out how to explain early vs high gothic to a bunch of spoilt brats who don't care about the class.

I didn't realize teachers aren't allowed to wear trainers at work. I suppose it's more strict there than in Canada?

Depends on the school probably. Mine's pretty casual, no suits or anything; my friend's teaching in a public school and they have to wear polished shoes or they get told off.

(Er, public = private over here, also.)
