Smaller and I have decided that we need a night out in Victorian drag - I'm a little in love with Watson's outfits, particularly the tweed. And those wonderful high-waisted trousers with the braces are far more likely to stay up on a traditional apple shape. XD

Need to learn to sew, I think. Shops never seem to sell what I want.

Ditto on the shops. Try charity shops/2nd hand shops, though. A few years ago, there was a fashion for high waisted (formal) trousers, which is when I got some, too. I trawl through ebay for finds, as well.

I dressed up as a Victorian boy when I was in year 6, to give a tour of my school on its 100th anniversary. I remember saying that the girl costumes were RUBBISH and choosing a flat cap and high-waisted trousers instead. I also had a hankercheif.

That, by the way, is the best reason to learn to sew. Worked for me, anyway. Plus, it's so much fun wearing stuff you made yourself. :D
