And we're through the qualifiers; around 8 bags of books are gone and we're now onto the hard core. Terry Pratchett is a strong contender, alongside Naomi Novik, Neil Gaiman and Diana Wynne Jones; Stephen King is looking less and less confident as the whittling process continues.
