Jan. 9th, 2004 07:27 pmHappily resettled in Cardiff again. Bigger has just blow dried my hair, which I *warned* her was a bad plan; it is now humungous. The Hair That Ate Cardiff. Dammit... I'm borrowin' her clothes and going all hippified to a party tonight, which should be interesting.
I love England. Seriously. I always planned that I'd move to Canada when I was older, but I'm revising that opinion because this place is just so beautiful.
I was on the train, just staring out of the window in amazement, completely unable to concentrate on Jingo because the scenery... damn. I have found the Wold (as mentioned in Wee Free Men)- it extends from just outside Warminster to Westbury(?)- I swear, I even saw the Feegles' mound and the Aching farm. And there was a huge chalk horse off in the distance.
Then it started raining, and there was the clearest rainbow I'd ever seen in my *life*- it was absolutely amazing and I couldn't keep the grin off my face. And then, when the sub came out, I saw a herd of deer grazing in a field. It was a very happy two and a half hours. Hmm, what else? Oh, I want to go to Bath. Every time I go through it on a train I fall in love with the place- really wanna go see if it's as good at ground level.
Oh, and I watched a Beautiful Mind last night. I quite frankly wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The weirdest thing had to be that
crispy_critter was in it! I was gaping at the screen, completely befuddled by his presence. Considering the themes of schizophrenia and imaginary people that runs through the film, and the beer I'd been drinking, I have to admit I was relieved when his name (Anthony Rapp) came up in the credits at the end. Also cool- Paul Bettany was in it, the person
isiscolo uses for
curses_foiled's icon.
That's about it. Now to catch up on two days worth of flist. =)
