Okay so

Tumblr's kinda great, don't get me wrong. I really like the wealth of interesting and beautiful and funny material, and there's some interaction (I guess) but man I miss blogging. I miss interacting properly; people on tumblr just ain't that friendly, really, which is probably due to the challenges built into the platform when it comes to communicating but still.

Also my head is an unhelpful place for thinking. I can think in conversation, I can't think by myself. Seriously I need people to ask me questions, it is an important part of any thinking process, and I want to do the same for other people.

I wish I wasn't so afraid of chat programs. :(

I use tumblr as just a pretty pictures place; I rarely if ever post anything original. I just reblog. It's a way to turn off my brain for a little bit when I'm too tired for coherence. I hate that fandom is moving there from LJ/DW, because I do miss the back and forth of posting and comments, but with any luck something new will pop up soon.

Every time I see one of my favorite people talking about wanting to blog more I go :DDD. Tumblr is great for some things, but I want conversations! And it is not so great for that.

Mind you, I say that and yet I too need to be better about commenting instead of just thinking about it. Not to mention posting, uh, ever at all.
