nny | (no subject)

I'm not doing badly at my job at the moment, I'm just investing much less in it; I'm caring less about the department structure and more about the lessons I want to teach - which, I hasten to add, will get the kids to the same place. And you know what? The kids are happier, I'm happier, and I'm getting compliments on my teaching again. And, for the first time in... um... three years? Ish? I am taking evenings for myself. And I'm using those evenings to deal with and tidy things around the flat, and to write. I have written every day for the past five days; over four thousand words, which isn't a huge amount but for me, who has written about three stories in the past few years, it is a big deal.

I'm happy.
