I think of you as a brilliant story-smith. I'm sure it's not, but you have OFTEN made me flail with how effortlessly you seemed to churn out fucking brilliant prose. Like, publishable-as-is prose. I think i told you once that there are very few people I know who I would be SURE would get published if they had a whole draft and sent it off enough times, but you're one of them. That's still true.

I think of you as spectacularly able to find random songs.

I think of you as possessor of a very specifically you way of looking at the world, one I really like for many reasons. One of them is that you seem to be very good at finding the poetry in things, and then allowing me to see it too. That's fucking amazing.

There are more, too, but I have typed a lot today so my hands hurt. I should try to be better about making sure people know the good things I think of them, though. ♥

I admire your understanding of Homestuck, for a start, since I got stuck down a tangled thread of a pathway once and never recovered; your dedication to snakes is also awesome and I'd like to know your favourite. :D

Haha, Homestuck is a tangled thread! Honestly, I'm not current with it - I think it's up to Act 6 Intermission (possibly Intermission 2 or 3?), and I haven't read it in a couple of months at least so I'm way back at the end of Act 5. I just fake it really well because I read the kink meme so often with a bit of help from the wiki if needed! :D It's a tremendous amount of fun, fandom-wise, and I'm loving pretty much everything about it. Umpty-billion possible pairings, loads of alien culture (and therefore culture clash and culture shock), xenobiology, time-travel shenanigans, alternate universes, and great potential for fic of all types and ratings, not to mention there are some spectacular artists in the fandom, too!

I'd like to know your favourite
I'm honour-bound to say my favourite snake is my snake! :D But in more general terms of species, I prefer colubrids, elapids, and vipers to boas and pythons; but I'll make an exception for a pretty colour.

My own baby is a California Kingsnake, he looks rather a lot like this one. My default icon, naturally, is a (sea) krait; specifically, the blue-lipped sea krait, Laticauda laticaudata - and my other icon is a Common Krait, Bungarus caeruleus. (I have a Thing for blue animals; if it weren't such an awkward moniker I'd be the Wagler's Temple Viper, because look at that colouration!) Also, venomous snakes are fascinating, and aquatic snakes are cool!

Less exotically, I'm especially enamoured of the Rough Green Snake, Opheodrys aestivus, and want to have one someday! I've loved them since I first met one, and as soon as I have the space, I shall obtain one!

You write the most interesting range and variety of characters that I have ever seen, and take risks with writing that don't depend on audience but only on what you want to do and what inspires you. I find that a most enviable trait. :)

Character vignettes. Especially Good Omens character vignettes. Like… a scone's worth of story: sometimes sweet, sometimes savory (ok, I dunno if savory scones are only a thing in the US), but often just the perfect amount of something you love, not a full meal maybe, but a great way to solve a craving for flavor.
