UK people, where is somewhere nice to live? I'm trying a new tactic.

Lichfield! It has a cathedral and Erasmus Darwin (deceased)

Warrington! It's a dreadful place to visit but a lovely place to live. It's in convenient travelling distance of Manchester and Liverpool, should you feel the urge for a bit of city, but has pretty much everything you need right there. It has a fantastic rugby league team! There is an alien landing strip in the town centre! There is pretty countryside! Property is pretty cheap (because it's North)! There's high employment (albeit largely in call centres)! Joseph Priestley discovered oxygen here! There is a mummy in the town museum! The town museum also has The Creepiest Corridor In The World! On one side, there are Victorian toys. On the other, there is a gibbet and a vast selection of pickled and stuffed animals.

Basically, I really rather like my town.

Nottingham! And I have spare rooms if you want to test it out.

Liverpool! I absolutely loved it there.

Currently in Nottingham which has the right things on paper and lots of people I know love it, but it hasn't captured my heart in the same way Liverpool did.
