Jan. 17th, 2004 04:58 am*Finally* made it to the drabble night again. I will definitely be appearing more often, because it was a hell of a lot of fun. The theme was magic and spells. And I think I squicked people with the challenge I came up with... *g*
Lucius/Draco: Obliviate
He watches what he cannot have. Silver hair spread across the pillow, open mouth, flushed face… he watches the expressions that he will never have directed at him, the positions he will never get to enforce, the pain he will never
[never physically, though he hates that you won’t touch him, acknowledge him, and neither of you will mention the power that you hold]
never get to inflict.
Severus can only be a substitute. And as he smiles, and casts Obliviate, he tells himself it is for Draco’s good that Snape will never come back. That none of them remember.
Ron/Harry: wingardium leviosa
Hermione walked in, to find Ron red, flushed and panting. She smiled, and walked over to him, placing a small kiss on his brow and gently sliding her hand down to find him hard, already slick and ready for her. She slid off her underwear and pushed the covers off, climbing on top of him and gently rocking back and forth as he moaned.
“You didn’t need to start without me, Ron. I got off work early… ah!... tonight.”
She reached over and gently removed the wand from his hand, twining her fingers through his as he panted and started to move.
There was a brief yelp, and a crash from the rose bushes a storey below their bedroom window.
Weasley/Draco: transfiguration
[An Animagus’s clothes will reform around them when they return to human form. This is one of the refinements to the original spell (developed by Maleficent Mordredottir), added by Phineas Nigellus. [Dumbledore, 1932: p73] As headmaster of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Nigellus believed it to be “inappropriate” to lose his clothing while in his feline form. Animagi are taught this refinement to the spell, and must demonstrate its use before they are awarded their license.]
Bill was a good student in transfiguration. He knew the text book back to front, and certain bits sideways. So he knew that when Draco Malfoy returned to human form wearing only a collar and a smile, it was deliberate.
Bill grinned widely.
SS/SB: silencing spell
Remus knew when not to disturb the others by the sound of their breathing. When Peter was… *indulging*, his breath sped up and whistled through his nostrils, squeaking slightly. James tended to be silent, except for when he was almost gone, then he made a noise like a soft, coughing bark, which al ways made Remus think of the forest. And he himself, he had learnt a silencing spell early on. He tended to growl.
Sirius was always silent. So he generally played it safe, and kept away when the other boy’s curtains were drawn. Except for that one afternoon, when he’d forgotten his rule, and had yanked Sirius’s curtains back.
Apparently Sirius knew a silencing charm, too.
None of the others had ever heard him, with Snape.
Remus never told.
Snape/Harry: Reparo
Tear-filled green eyes.
That was what he kept coming back to, over and over again. The accusing look that hurt so much more than the hatred he’d been shown when Harry was a child. What does a child know of hate?
Now Harry was a man. Now he knew hate, and it hurt most that he couldn’t find it in his eyes. Betrayal, and pain, and anger and sadness and regret and lo…
No matter how many time he replayed the moment in his head, he couldn’t find hate.
Hate would make it so much easier.
He swilled the scotch around in the glass and smiled faintly, pointing his left hand at his heart.
“Reparo.”
