I was all ready to write today off and call myself a useless failure and such, which is the end of all exclusively fanfic-reading days. But instead I said Self, Self I said, it may well be six o'clock but there are plenty of useable hours in the day dammit. So instead of berating I walked over to Tesco and bought all sorts of cleaning equipment.
I scrubbed the oven top and counters, the drainer and dish rack and two sinks, I scrubbed the bin and bin lid and chucked out some of the more obviously grody food in the fridge, and I did the washing up. Then I came upstairs and disinfected the toilet and whacked an air freshener in the bathroom. Tomorrow I'm going to corner my only current flatmate and we're going to pare down the ridiculous amounts of food in the kitchen, all the stuff left by previous tenants; it's going into one of our cupboards or fridge shelves or it's going in the bin, and then I can clean the inside and top of the fridge.
Could I have achieved more today? Oh hell yes I could. But I didn't, and that's okay, because I made sure I achieved something.

And I doubly salute you for deciding that, no, there's still time to get stuff done, so you'll do so, and then doing it -- that is hard, and I fail on matching intentions to gumption a lot. Go you!
