6. Your five senses right now
I can see my room, dimly lit 'cos the lamp's got an energy saving bulb and I've only just turned it on. There are two windows to my right and a wall of mirrors to my left, so it's not too horribly dark, but it's definitely a grey autumnal sky outside. I can also see the plate perched on the duvet to my left with an apple core on it, like the world's most boring still life.
I can taste the apple, still, and feel the stickiness on the tips of my fingers. Gorgeous purchase; two packs of four orchard apples. It doesn't say what sort they are, but they're a red-golden sort of yellow, and they're firm and sweet and beautiful. Sometimes apples are so disappointing, but these were worth the slightly elevated cost.
I can hear Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai Ye by Kishore Kumar, apparently. One of those songs that apparently appeared on my iPod without human intervention, but I like it awfully. The sound quality makes it sound like it's from a very old film, slightly crackly and muffled.
I can smell my Aussie shampoo because my hair is apparently attempting to eat my head and has dried really big. Apples aren't really that strong smelling, so my apple perfume is a beautiful fragrant lie.
