Today I have the bittersweet awesome of a new Diana Wynne Jones book to sink my teeth into. Reflections: on the magic of writing looks so interesting and I'm really excited to start reading it, but at the same time it means I'm one book closer to running out of new DWJ. :(

As you can see my tastes run towards the brown, battered and hard-wearing.

Wallet (brown)
Notebook w/ leather cover (printed: not all who wander are lost)
Keys (key ring is Charles Darwin)
Bottle opener (say nothing)
Classic iPod (it is called aBed and has la arana discoteca inscribed on the back. The sticker says 'I am definitely a mad man with a box)
Biro
Harris tweed headphones (they match my bag, which is made out of an old tweed jacket)
Kindle (in recycled Hardy Boys book cover)
Sanitary towels (because unpredictable)
Missing is my phone, a Samsung Galaxy froofroo thing that I took the photo on. :D

I forgot to include the little bit of fool's gold I always have in one of the pockets 'cos it reminds me of my granddad.

I crave cuddles and peanut butter and neither of those things are accessible in my pyjamas so I have to go insert myself into clothing now.

My notebook came from this lovely shop here, where I also got an anatomical heart printed notebook for Del. I love your kindle cover, and I'm so impressed you made it yourself! I bought mine, again from Etsy, but I like the additional layer of security the disguise provides. :D

aBed is a little battered, alas, because he fell out of my pocket and dragged along the floor for absolutely ages before my music abruptly stopped as he fell off the headphones. I can't believe no one thought to tell me, I was in a crowded place!

I'm impressed by how coordinated your stuff is. I'm looking forward to doing this one myself, but I don't think all the stuff I carry around will fit into a single photo!

I generally carry around more when I'm working, but it's holiday time so only the accessories. :D My stuff isn't deliberately coordinated, I'm just massively predictable in the things I like. Everything is brown or tweed or old, and my little sister is constantly disappointed in my choices. :D
