Alas, poor Jensen, we barely knew ye
Nov. 11th, 2013 12:11 pmSo it is official - the death knell has sounded for my laptop. I absolutely cannot afford another, but my sister G is going to give me her mac. Apparently I have to buy something to make it go on the internet, which'll probably have to wait until after I get my loan, and I have to wait until we can sort out a way of getting it up here, but at least I'm not going to be stranded and entirely computer-less.
My documents and music have been potentially rescued, but all TV and films, games and pictures are gone. :(
Now I am in a state of certainty about it all I'm feeling disappointed but reasonably zen, which will not be swayed by the fact that the computer I was working on this morning developed some kind of fatal hard drive error. I am not cursed, dammit!
In more cheerful news, I have bought a Thermos so that I can have soup for lunch every day and save money (and eat less gluten) on lunches. I am seriously tempted to cover it with stickers; partly this is mourning the loss of my SHIELD decorated laptop.
