I have my laptop back, soldered and intact; it doesn't appear to be able to work on battery power alone now, which is precisely what happened to my old Acer, but it is working.
I have my loan and all attached bank cards and such.
I also got a 76 on my first masters essay.
:D
Gonna buy the IT guys some serious chocolate.
