May. 2nd, 2014 09:01 pmIf I had the energy I'd make a meta post, but all I have is this:
Holy heck, I miss my heroes inexplicable.
I love, don't get me wrong, good acting. I love the MCU and the interrelated storylines and character arcs. I love Firefly's reasonable motives and sensible backstory. But I'm not gonna lie...
Fandom lives in the gaps outside the reasonable and interrelated and good, most of the time, for me. And Joe Flanigan's inexplicable facial expressions gave me reason to reason it, so much of the time. Perfection is where I'll buy and endlessly rewatch the canon, but Tyler Hoechlin's interestingly inconsistent emotional responses is where I'll be making my stories.
I'm not saying there's no place for fanfic in the MCU (omg write me sam, in any possible pairing and configuration); I'm just saying the crappy planning makes the stories come easier.
