nnyDecision time!
Well not actually decision time at all, really. I have a job interview tomorrow, so it's decision time if I, like, get the job? Then it'll be DECISION TIME.
See, the thing. The thing, right, is that there's this job. They have asked me for interview. It's in London, it's a library job, it involves training students in academic writing, study skills and suchlike. The issues here are that it's 28 hours a week, 40 weeks a year, so I'd likely have to get a second job.
The positives here are that I could probably negotiate some library work experience, which is a HUGE barrier to getting employed in the field I have an MSc in. I could move to London, putting me in a better position to find other jobs. I have many skills which could allow me to find other part time work, plus there's probably some within the Uni itself. Also it allows me to move out of a living situation which is constantly tense and uncomfortable, and should things go wrong it's closer to help. Oh! And it's a permanent position, unlike my current situation which potentially ends at the end of the month.
The negatives... it's 28 hours a week, 40 weeks a year. Which basically adds up to £15,000 ish, which is very very very low for living in London. Very. Especially with loans to repay.
It's totally ridiculous thinking about it before I even know if I've got the job, I recognise this, but I is fretting. :(
