"I always love being in your classes, I hate that I'm leaving soon."
"Man, that lesson was sick."
"That was a great lesson, thanks!"
"We'd never tell on you, miss, you're just teaching us similes!" (I'd threatened to squash her head like a watermelon ¬_¬)
"You're always in such a good mood, miss, it always makes me happier." (Kid I have never taught, ps, just seen around.)
"It was awesome, it made me think of you."
"Oh yeah, I love that place, it's got you written all over it."
"You always keep trying. I admire that. Even when things are hard or you don't like them, you keep trying and finish them, and I think that's really amazing."
(Sorry, I'm not bragging, I just... forget to listen. A lot.)

Date: 2016-02-26 07:03 am (UTC)I'm glad you wrote these down. Especially with the way your brain behaves it's good to have a concrete reminder of just how good you are. It's particularly tough for teachers because the system is rigged to grind you down and make you feel like crap a lot of the time. The shining moments are so important. Get in, you!
