nnyI was woken up at 3pm by the phone ringing- my mum. Seems all is not well at home. My sister's been dumped after two years, and is losing weight at a rate of knots. So, apparently, is my grandma; that's because of a thyroid problem that requires radiation treatment. And then we have the fact that my mother, major breadwinner after my dad got made redundant last year, has just been sacked.
Had a very emotionally draining half an hour, where I tried to be strong and make jokes and reassure her that everything was going to be alright. Then I hung up, curled up under the duvet, and cried my eyes out. Eventually it passed, and I just snuggled, staring out of the window, feeling numb.
I couldn't stop laughing when it started to snow. First time I've seen any this winter.
