I managed to completely forget about the night this week, so only made it in time to drabble twice. The theme was games.

Sirius/Harry: Blind man's bluff

Remus moved carefully through the crowded room, making sure that he didn’t touch anything, move anything. Most of the other rooms were sparse and clinical, but this was how Harry felt comfortable and nothing would be denied to the Saviour of the Wizarding World. And you almost wouldn’t know, wouldn’t realise because of the confidence with which Harry moved, the way he looked at you as you spoke.

He was talking, softly. It was something the Mediwitch had mentioned to him, this tendency to mumble to himself, the cadences of his voice sounding like half a conversation. He moved a little closer, and- his hearing had always been good- stopped dead at the sound of a name. Harry turned toward him, alerted of his presence by the harshly sucked in breath, and greeted him cordially.

“He’s dead, Harry.”

“I know.” The younger man smiled. “But I can still see him.”

Marcus/Oliver: Risk

It was a game that should be played two feet off the ground.

But this was *war*.

They were twenty feet above the lake, stood and balancing carefully aboard their broomsticks. Other than the fact that magic was banned, the rules were that there were no rules… generations of Gryffindor and Slytherin captains had challenged each other, resulting in injuries and hatred, and everyone knew that *this* was the real test. The Quidditch cup was immaterial.

Marcus and Oliver had been playing each other for years. Scores were even.

Obviously, new tactics were called for.

The watchers ashore saw Oliver lean toward Marcus, saw him… um, he had to be whispering to him, right? That was why they were so close. No way could it be what it *looked* like…

Marcus lost.

Oliver visited him in the hospital wing, licked his lips, smiled, and asked for a rematch.

Somewhere private.

Bah, there's no reason to compare. ^_^ Both had different purposes.
