nny: (*facepalm*)
Hahahaha oh boy. I've just woken up and I'm still completely exhausted, which is probably more to do with 'OH SHITZ ESSAY' than actual lack of sleep, and I've looked at the requirements for the essay and I suspect that I am categorically screwed here, guys. Not through lack of work - 'cos I have been working damned hard - but through being kinda sabotaged by concussion and not being able to design a lesson specifically for this essay but instead having to use another lesson I did previously instead. So instead of using one lesson as my evidence, I'll have to use some evidence from a number of different lessons, with one activity as my central argument. Which is not, in fact, what is asked for.

So. A hell of a lot of typing to do for tomorrow, and a hell of a lot of caffeine I suspect I'm gonna have to consume, and a hell of a lot of bullshit and tenuous connections I'm gonna have to craft. So. I'll really try not to, but the probability is that I'll be on here whining pathetically every now and again.

Since this worked so well for [livejournal.com profile] unamaga last night, I'm gonna give it a go.

Sadly, it's not in the aid of fic writing, but rather essay relaxation; I could really do with some instrumental, non-distracty, soothy music. Classical is awesome, non-classical equally so; my requirement is basically that it not have words to distract me.

Anyone have anything that fits that description that they could upload for me?

nny: (Fuck off. I'm a shark.)
I believe in reward systems.

My To-Do List currently looks like this:

Find SD outline
Find SD essay subtitles
Write essay -

500 words - cup of tea \o/!
1,000 words - Grace Under Pressure
2,000 words - Hot Zone
3,000 words - McKay and Mrs Miller
4,000 words - Tao of McKay
5,000 words - High Fidelity

...no, I'm not planning to get any sleep tonight, why do you ask?
nny: (NNY CAN SMELL YOUR BRAINS)
TOO MUCH STUCKING FUFF TO DO!

I am disable router until I at least half of through.

Why not is this complex to write 5,000 fanfic words, pliss?

(Maybe should deleting of fanfic, also, until am done.)

Look! *point* JOHN DEAD OF ESSAY!
nny: (*glare*)
Self-revelation: I am a bad writer because I say things with characters not about them.

Mental note: it's still totally fun, though.

F-list note: the router is still dismantled. Now I'm on the laptop. AHAHAHAHAHAA I AM SNEAKY! SNEAK! SNEAK!

Am at 1,500 words, which is *works out* 3/10 of the way through. Which is totally nearly a third! Which means I am allowed more tea. I have also found a picnic because our house has been invaded by Germans and I don't want to step on any of them if I try to go to the kitchen in the middle of the night. I have decided that the midway point will be celebrated by reading Ryan Ross, Wedding Planner because I have a craving for ridunculous bandom fluff.

Can you tell that my essay is boring my brain out through my nose?

*whimpers*

*goes back to work*

ETA: This is an important observation since it underlines the importance of the student being able to access the learning gained in circumstances other than the assessment act, making sure that it is oriented in their knowledge base rather than specifically centred around an isolated use; this emphasises that teaching 'to the test' is essentially empty of educational value.

PLZ SEND HELP: HAVE LOST ABILITY TO FORM COHERENT SENTENCES.

'sdoing wonders for my word count, though.
