So I just had snippets from a potential story spring into my head, this morning, and just - man, Sleepless!John can be such a dick sometimes. It makes me want to put him and HighFidelity!Rodney in a room somewhere to be dicks together, so that their respective other halves can curl up on a couch together and bitch and paint each other's nails. Actually, screw that strikeout. They can totally paint each other's nails, and S!Rodney would have a facemask and a towel turban that HF!John would not stop laughing at him for, and when the others came back later, shamefaced and apologetic, they'd be all 'screw you guys, we're watching Han Solo.'


ETA: Also? I suddenly and unrelatedly really want to go back to Chicago. God, I loved it there. I don't do it justice in High Fidelity, but I'm not rewriting the whole fic now, it would change the style. Maybe I'll write something else set in Chicago later. And go visit. For research. :D
