Oct. 11th, 2009 10:22 amI do not understand how people can afford to knit. My mum offers it as an alternative to Christmas presents, as if that's cheaper!
Also: I dislike the lack of sloth love on Etsy.
Also: have realised over the course of a conversation that one of my problems with my writing is that I used to write with someone else and I got very used to the idea that they were the talent in the relationship. Hence my being willing to accept some extraordinary gumpf from my own writing, when editing wouldn't take much really. NOT ON, SELF.
Also: have finished sorting the living room except for the hoovering; now just need to sort the paperwork in the bedroom and the bottom drawer of all JUNK, and then my autumn cleaning will be done! YAY!
Also: does anyone know how to make chai tea goodly? My Bigger housemate used to do all this stuff with cinnamon and cardamom and vanilla and stuffs, and I miiiisss it. I can't afford chai lattes at Starbucks often enough.

Oct. 11th, 2009 03:26 pmOKAY. Now I have hoovered, unloaded the washing machine and hung up a second load of washing, done the washing up, sorted the paperwork on the living room and bedroom floors, the flat is the cleanest it's been since I moved in. I went and treated myself to a HUGE chai latte from Starbucks and a granola bar thing, and now I'm back I'm gonna celebrate by... watching Trinity.
See, the thing is, I haven't been able to watch that episode since the first time I saw it, because it's the BREAK UP EPISODE OMG. D: Only I promised myself a couple months ago that I'd watch through all of them in order (after which I might - might - be able to bring myself to watch s5), and I got stuck around Trinity and never picked it up again.
SO. I am mentally well-adjusted after a HYOWJ (for me) cleaning spree, I can totally justify watching more than one episode in case I really desperately need cheering up after, and it's early enough in the day that I can embark upon epic fic reading if I really need to lose myself in the cheerful.
*braces self*
Okay, kids. I'm goin' in.

Oct. 11th, 2009 08:59 pmI haven't really been able to get into s5 of Supernatural - I watched the first one and just didn't really care about continuing, which is kind of abnormal. I mean... Cas! So I thought the best thing to do would be to watch s4 again from the beginning, get back into the mindframe and remind myself of what happened. And man, I just watched the first episode and I am there, okay? I had forgotten how bloody excited I was the first time, but it all just came back to me when I had my hands clapped over my mouth to hold in the squeaking.
Man.
Castiel.
*goes to watch the next one, starry eyed*
