LJ has annoyed me yet again, by apparently making the move to binary gender to make pitching advertising easier. There are so many things wrong there, better gone into by bethbethbeth, friendshipper and others. I have a DW account I've not really investigated yet, plus an AO3 account, and I'm just... pondering.

ETA: The issue is resolved, apparently it was an LJ bug and wasn't intended in that way. However the fact that it's so easy to believe is worrying in itself, y'know? I'm not sure I really have all that much confidence in LJ, any more.

Been asleep since I got back from work, considering just washing my hair and getting into bed without having dinner, partly through cold and partly through unnatural possibly ill-indication tired and partly through not actually having much in the house to eat. Birthday cheques are taking a little longer to clear than I'd hoped. :/ The stupid thing is that if I just manage to leave the house I have two offers of feeding - school are having a Christmas dinner and Smaller has invited me for curry - but I'm at that level of sleepy where I just think I'm going to burst into tears at any moment. D: Also I cannot get warm and I can't face the open air right now. La la la first world problems wah.

Er. Apparently, upon investigation of the fridge, my definition of no food in the house includes a potato, a butternut squash, some garlic, large amounts of carrots and some lentils.

So I just got the most incredibly adorable John Sheppard plushie from chkc because she is awesome and wonderful and attempting to split my face with smiles. And then I got a package from ladyflowdi who is sweet and crazy and included Disney princess stickers.

No force on Earth could keep them apart.
