Completely wankish entry. I have time on my hands. *g*

I'm considering a change of image. My hair bores me- it's long enough to hit the base of my shoulder blades, and is ridiculously thick and slightly wavy. It's reddish at moment, but I don't know how much longer that'll last.

I've been considering getting dreadlocks, but I'm not sure if I can be arsed with the upkeep, and matted dreads look crappy. Then I ran across a short hairstyle that I *love*, but I dunno what to do. All my friends are bucking for dreads, the bunch of stoners. What do you think?

Dreads?

Or short and shaggy?

[Poll #265528]

Anyways. Must be off for now, as it is Smaller (new flatmate)'s birthday shindig tonight, and I'm really looking forward to it. Like I said, expect a relapse tomorrow. *g*

I voted for 'short and shaggy' above, but really, it was just a vote against dreads. Don't, please.

I've often thought about dreads, but lack the commitment necessary to have them. I'm sorry but I change my hair style too often to have to shave my head to get rid of the dreads. I don't do bald... except on my husband ^_~

Short and shaggy! Tres sexy.

Dreadlocks are just disgusting. *grin*

Whatever makes my Nnychan happy. ^_^

Although that short and shaggy cut is particularly cute, and would frame your face well. ^_^

Hmmm. Have you had short hair before? You've said it's thick and wavy. Be prepared for the possibility that your hair may curl when short; and not even curl curl. I have stick straight hair, but when taken above the ears it curls under. For the style you've got pictured, unless you're really great with a hair dryer/round brush you will need to use a curling iron and possibly a flat iron, wax, texturizing spray or gel or lotion, and hair spray to set it. That takes a bit of time. I don't mind that kind of thing, as I think the results are worth it, but I'm high maintenance. Just be aware that that style is not as wash-and-go as it seems.

It's official: Short hair blows doors down.

Dreads smell. And if you're driving a motorcycle, the person snuggled behind you will be pelted to a smelly bloody pulp. Can't have that now can you?

I used to have long-ass hair (not long ass-hair), and chopping it off was the best ever. It's so much easier to keep clean and style (showers and hairstyle time cut less than half) and people actually stop me to say, "Wow. You have cool hair." No one had ever mentioned my hair before and to have complete strangers do it a few times a month? Golden.

I keep it colored funky-yet-professional, and though it's more expensive than plain old hair -- it's totally worth the cost of salon visits and products. I think it makes me look thinner, and more outgoing. My long hair always felt "blah" and I most often described my physical sense as "frumpy".

No more, baby. Go with the sass.
