I am having entirely too much fun with this.

Bob

“Bob?”

“It’s a perfectly respectable name.” Aziraphael’s voice was defensive.

“Yes, but…” Crowley flailed helplessly, unsure of how to explain himself. Admittedly, Bob was a perfectly respectable name. And of a world of names to choose from, there were a hell of a lot worse than ‘Bob’. On the other hand, “…but not for a mini.”

“Why in Heaven not?”

Crowley winced, more out of habit than anything. How could he explain? It wasn’t so much the naming of the mini that was causing him so much trouble, it was the fact that Aziraphael had taken entirely too much time thinking about it; feet up in the back room of the shop, going through a baby-names book with a satisfied look on his round face. It was the fact that the mini wasn’t called Bob, but Robert; Bob was just its nickname. It was the guilt that ate at him because Aziraphael was lonely enough to do this.

“Look,” he reasoned, “I’ve had the Bentley for years, and that doesn’t have a name.”

“You could name it.”

“I don’t want to name it, you’re missing my-”

“I think it looks like a Susan,” said Aziraphael beatifically.

Crowley sputtered helplessly.

Susan?!

And yes, there is more to come... *g*

"You can't name a planet 'Bob!'" "Well, you don't have to live on Bob if you don't want to."

None which probably made any sense if you haven't seen Titan A.E., but which cracked up up when I read this anyway.

YES!

That *totally* cracked me up. 'twas one of three best things about that cartoon, the others being Powerman 5000 on the soundtrack, and John Leguizamo. *g*

I adore that soundtrack, and consider it one of the foundations of my ridiculous obsession with electronica.

I also adore John Leguizamo, always. (Except in Spawn; that character scared me.) o.O

The Titan A.E. soundtrack introduced me to Splashdown, for which I am very thankful. Too bad that the band is gone now, of course. "Karma Slave" was great.

I picked up a copy of the soundtrack in a used CD place, brought it home, played it, wondered why there seemed to only be one track, examined the label, and realized that it was one of the ones they send to radio stations to play clips from. Argh. The movie was great, though terribly underrated.

I liked it a lot. Like they said above, the "Bob" bit was great. ^_^
