Seriously, LJ hates me.

I have tried various combinations of the overrides, I have read the FAQ until my eyes have crossed, and NOTHING WORKS! I can't change anything about my journal. I can't change the comment wording, I can't change the background pics... Why? WHY, LJ, WHY?!

Okay, I don't know how to change the background pick but I do know how to fix comment wording.

Go to livejournal.com - and under 'Manage' click 'Customize'. You should be on the new system (S2). Scroll down to where it says 'Change Individual Settings' and there should be two buttons - the first of which is 'Edit Customizations'. This should bring you to a menu that has 'Layout' 'Colors' 'Presentation' and 'Text'. Click 'Text' and your comment options are there.

Are you useing the old system? As far as I know overrides work on the old system .

You probably have done that already, but it is of major importance, that when you do multiple changes in the code 'Global Head', you have to merge these changes together. I am too sleepy to find the link how to do to that, but you should easily find it in the FAQs. Also, sometimes it doesn't work with a few browsers. If you use any not-that common browser, try to do it under Internet Explorer.
