So many of my obsessions are so under-represented!

Much love for:

Characters

Toad- X-men (movie)
Headless Horseman- Sleepy Hollow
Charlie Weasley- Harry Potter
Nightcrawler- X-men
Marquis de Carabas- Neverwhere (he *has* to be the ultimate crossover character)

Pairings

Toad/Anyone
Kurt/Arthur (Velvet Goldmine)
Snape/Lupin
Brian/Wensleydale (Good Omens)
Vetinari/Drumknott (Discworld)
Oz/Xander (Buffy) (sorry)
Oz/anyone, for that matter

Fandoms

Good Omens
Shooting Fish (Dylan and Jez are so clearly shagging)
Velvet Goldmine (considering the *wealth* of talent, there should be more fic. Why is there no fic with Brian Molko's character? WHY?!)
Neverwhere (Marquis/Richard, obviously, Marquis/Old Bailey, Hunter/Door)
American Gods (Shadow/Low Key, for a start)

I will probably be adding to this through the night, as a means of avoiding my essay. *g*

Anyone have any underdogs they want to remind me of, or argue a case for?

Discworld: Cherry Littlebottom/anybody. Because Cherry is the man...woman...dwarf. There's a great fic out there somewhere (Skyehawke?) where Drumknott vies for her affections.

Nightcrawler owns me. In every way. *fans self* Also, I don't think I will ever get that image of movie!Toad/any!Kurt out of my head. Not that that is a bad thing in any way, shape or form. Because, yanno. FLEXIBILITY. Also, PREHENSILE TAIL AND EXTRA-LONG TONGUE.

The Headless Horseman OWNED that movie. And loved his horse... *SNIFF*

One day, I will write my Marquis de Carabas/Jack Sparrow borderline(?)-incestuous epic. One day.

Also, I think Neverwhere is just the ultimate crossover BOOK, full stop. I know I can't be the only one who has a morbid and twisted desire for Aziraphale/Islington/Crowley, or any combination thereof.

Marquis/Old Bailey 4evah!

And HUNTER/DOOR OMG I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT NEW OTP WOOO

PREHENSILE TAIL AND EXTRA-LONG TONGUE.
Oooooooh, crap. Wow. I neeeeeeed this written. *Neeeeed*

The Headless Horseman OWNED that movie.
See? Toad, Headless Horseman, Darth Maul... Ray Park ROCKS. I read such a good WIP which was Ichabod/Horseman. And... and I really enjoyed it. It made me feel, in the words of Eddie, "really good but sick". :D

One day, I will write my Marquis de Carabas/Jack Sparrow borderline(?)-incestuous epic. One day.
One day I will finish the story involving the both of them. And then I will probably write a sequel to it, in which there is much sex. *g*

Also, I think Neverwhere is just the ultimate crossover BOOK, full stop. I know I can't be the only one who has a morbid and twisted desire for Aziraphale/Islington/Crowley, or any combination thereof.
Heh. I have drabbled Crowley/Aziraphael Crowley/Islington, but a threesome is *awfully* tempting. Also wrote a ficlet in which Islington rather worried Crowley. =)

It's such a simple fic to set up too, at least in the movie-verse. Kurt, fearing anti-mutant activists, especially in the hype surrounding Senator Kelly's Mutant Registration Act, has fled Der Jahrmarkt during its tour of the US. Cold and alone, before finding his church hideout in Boston, he wanders the streets of NY. Attention caught by Magneto's Super-Glowy-Mutant-Maker-Thingy, and he ends up down at the shoreline, watching. Eventually, up washes a beat-up, lightening-fried, green-hued body. 'Mein Gott!' thinks Kurt, 'ein mutant!'

Kurt being the kindly soul he is, takes care of our dear Toad, nursing him back to health. Unfortunately, hideous angst awaits our heroes, as Toad's lightning-induced amnesia eventually wears off, and he remembers his heinous deeds in the name of Mags. Despite Kurt's insistance that he is a changed person, Toad takes off. Kurt, alone once more, wanders his way down to Boston in a haze of angst, and sets up camp in a derelict church. One evening, as he goes to find himself some food, he catches the eye of one of Stryker's field agents. 'What ho!' thinks said field agent, 'A depressed and angsty mutant! Living alone, with nobody to notice a suspicious disappearance! Prime brain-washing material!'

And the rest, as they say, is history...

The above to be liberally interspersed with flexible mutant sex, with a healthy dose of tail and tongue action.

We will have giant X-slash-fest, and also Alan-fest. How convenient that the two overlap. Best Fandoms Ever.

I have a huge urge to go and make smutty movie!Toad/Kurt photomanips now. Also, that fic really should exist. Because right now, the only Toad/Kurt action is in bloody Evo-verse, and, as a matter of principle, I really don't like that show. It's like X-men Lite.

Todd/any!Kurt.

Ditto to that. I even have an icon lurking around my computer. No idea who's is it, but the caption has Kurt saying "Toad wants to do WHAT with his tongue?"

*snerk*

I mean the tail and>/i> The tongue. How could anyone resist.

Yay.

I want Fortress fanfiction. Any at all. Because the gay! and the hand-kissing! And the angst and the snow and the angst in the snow and the jealousy and it's all very pretty.

But because no one knows what that is, I, er, well, just try and tell me you've never thought Death/Mort. (Would it be masturbation?) ...no? Just me? Right.

I think there should be more about that one guy with the tree. From Good Omens.

Chidder/Cheesewright.

AND FACULTY SLASH. Yeeeah. (Ridcully/Dean!)

You never wrote my hat request :(

Kid, I swear, as soon as term is over I will be finishing the squickfest. I have *immense* guilt over that.

I may even set up a new one for the summer holidays, with much stricter rules so I canna procrastinate so much. =)

Never thought about Death/Mort, but I wrote a Mort/Cutwell drabble for Vik.

Fortress? Tell me more. =)

Awesome. (And then the hats, zey vill be in luuurve. ...ew. But yay!)

It's a series by C J Cherryh. The main character is called Tristen and King Cefwyn is quite clearly in love with him. And actually married a woman who looks just like him. And calls him "mooncalf." Which is funny. And there is much stabbing and betrayal and lightning hitting churches and pious brothers and all that good stuff.

Oh my God, your underdogs are my underdogs with the exception of Shooting Fish (which I've never heard of) and Toad from the X-men movie because I once had a really weird dream about his eyes and now I can't look at him without getting freaked out.

But Good Omens literally owns my soul (although, technically, I don't actually own it per se, I had to steal it from [livejournal.com profile] copinggoggles who eventually got so frustrated waiting for me to return it that she bought herself a new copy. Which was really as good as giving me, like the deeds* to it.)

*Can you have deeds to a book? There must be some way of denoting ownership. Although maybe in my case it's better if there isn't. And wow, excuse me for going all weird and ramble-y in your thread. In short: Underdogs should rule the world.

Date: 2004-04-18 11:56 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] villainny.livejournal.com
weird and rambly? Always good.

And I was convinced for a while there that it was your *soul* you had to borrow from [livejournal.com profile] copinggoggles which made me wonder how she'd come across it in the first place- whether you'd made some bizarre deal involving the sale of your soul for sherbert fountains or some such. *g*

Shooting Fish is an awfully sweet English film with unbelievably slashy subtexts. One of the male characters says of the other "Dylan has this strange compulsion to share bodily fluids with everyone he meets. It's why we don't have any pets." Need I say more? Also! Also they have SEE THROUGH BEDROOMS, which really makes me want to write voyeur fic...

Um, anyway. Weird and rambly reply. *g*

Date: 2004-04-18 12:05 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lakedeal.livejournal.com
Well, I think [livejournal.com profile] copinggoggles probably owns my soul as well, so it's really incredibly perceptive of you to notice.

And I now really need to get my hands on a copy of that movie. Clearly if the director put them in see through bedrooms he spent his time thinking about voyeur fics, even if he didn't have the nerve to make it canon. I foresee many unfruitful visits to the local video store, because it is just hideously bad.

The other day, I went to try and rent Goodbye Lenin, which, while is admittedly. not mainstream, is hardly some unheard of indie production either.
Me: Do you have any copies of Goodbye Lenin?
Video Store Guy: Ahh... that's a great movie. I loved it. You'll love it. Everyone should see it at least once in their lifetime.
Me: That's all well and good, but do you have it.
VSG: Um.. not in so many words, no.
Me: Well, it was only to be expected.
VSG: Yeah, I know. The other day...
VSG's manager: *glares*
VSG: *cowers*

I have yet to see Goodbye, Lenin, though I have wanted and wanted and wanted and CURSED all my friends for not coming with me and wah! *g*

I'm not allowed to sell my soul as yet. My parents have got it in a trust fund for me until I'm 25 and "mature enough to make a good decision" as to what to do with it. I'm thinking... sell it to the devil for another Pterry/Gneil collaberation. =)

But YES! See Shooting Fish! Then I will have someone to squee with, and someone to prod me into actually writing something about it, and I really have to get my own copy sometime... *g*

Anyway. Hi! I'm Nny. And not only do I talk too much, I also have an essay that BY GOD I'm avoiding, so the more dstraction I get, the better.

Date: 2004-04-18 12:25 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lakedeal.livejournal.com
I hate when people say "good decision" and really mean "the decision we want you to make". Because there are people who get up in the morning and say "I'm going to actively try to make a bad decision this morning".

Not that that's a problem for me. My own mother seems confused as to whether I'm her daughter, or if it is in fact, [livejournal.com profile] copinggoggles. I mean, she called me 'Sophie' yesterday, and then attempted an awkward little "I so did that on purpose" cover, which was just utterly transparent. Confronted on the issue, she'd probably be surprised I haven't already traded my soul for something snarky and sarcastic. Not that I'm complaining.

I also found this post looking for Marquis/Richard! That's so strange ...

I want my Marquis/Richard too! There's such a dearth of the stuff that I think I'm going to have to write my own.

Shall I track you down if it ends up any good?

Dude, yes! Please do! I am utterly hopeless at writing fic, but I'll ask for marquis/richard fic in my 'Santa meme' (yeah, it's been doing the rounds since November...) and if I get any I'll ping you with links.
Oh what the heck... *friends you*
