nnyI have come up with an idea for a community, but I'm going to need at least one person to help if this thing is going to get off the ground- I'm liable to get distracted by any new shiny that comes along, as anyone who knows me well will know. If I have someone to kick my ass occasionally- I won't make anyone else do all the work, I swear, I just need reminders- then I think it could be potentially quite cool.
So here's my idea.
I was inspired by this piece of graffiti by a guy from Bristol called Banksy.
I absolutely love this image, and I want to read something about it. I want to read something *inspired* by it. So what I thought was that I could start a community where people post things that inspire them, or things they *want* to be inspired by but can't find the words. Then anyone who *is* inspired by the item could submit what they come up with.
It wouldn't be fandom specific, or necessarily of any fandom at all- it could be original fic, poetry, art, whatever.
Another possibility is to put a time limit on each individual item, then take a community wide poll to judge which is the favourite. The person who submitted the item could then provide a small prize (say, two months paid account time, or some such) for the winner. I'm still turning the idea around in my head, no concrete plans as yet, but would anyone be interested in this? As co-mod, or as community member? Any ideas that could improve the plan? Comments?
