Today's happiness is painted in broad blue strokes, shining-white yellow caught in between the lines of it. It sounds like Ryuichi Sakamoto and the soundtrack of oceangoing films, laughter safely far enough away there's no hope of being annoyed at what they might be laughing at. The smallest sharp taste of Italian beer, smell of fresh cut grass and traces of horseshit and weed smoked by the student boys who kissed each other better after a quick tumbling fight. Today's happiness feels like sunburn, feels like summer, feels like it's been a long time coming.
