I listen with polite incomprehension and raised eyebrows as you tell me of your past, forgetting the tales as soon as they're told. They're fictions, to me.

It's strange that you remember your fictions so much clearer than I do mine...

I like this. It's neatly worded. I find the last ellipsis makes it seem to float-charmingly wistful- above any fixed world. I could be over 'anal'ising, but I'm writing an assignment at the moment, (on english etymology and registers of meaning) and I can't qutie get my brain out of the mode.
