Prompted by [livejournal.com profile] mctabby's marvellous HP friending fest I thought it'd be nice to do a similar kind of thing, for random fandoms. I don't generally search interests, plus people write pairings in different ways, with different spellings, with random nicknames (snupin, snilch, whatever); this means I tend to not find people who like the same random pairings as I do, and I think that it's just me. When you do come across people who like things you do there is considerable squee, and there should be more squee in fandom.

So, yes. Pimp this in random communities if you like, pimp communities here, pimp your own journal... whatever you want.

What do you like and dislike? What pairings can you not get enough of? What pairings have you been looking for and never found? What does your journal have to offer? What have you written? Have at it!
And go sign up on the HP friending fest if you like Harry Potter, too. *g*

Okay, let's see. I'm Nny. I write rarely and badly. I really like the idea of Johnny Maxwell slash, although post-book when the characters are a little older. I ship various films, such as Chris/Seth in Boiler Room, Peter/Dieter in Wimbledon, Toad/Nightcrawler in X-men and X2, Billy/Joe in Hard Core Logo. I want more Discworld and Good Omens slash- Vimes/Vetinari, Andre/Drumknott, Crowley/Aziraphael, Brian/Wensleydale.

My fiction can be found over here, and it's a mix of Good Omens and Harry Potter, with a random Hard Core Logo fic in there as well. I will also pimp my comm, [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar, which is a multi-fandom RP that is full of utterly random pairings.

So yeah, introduce yourself. Tell me about you. Pimp this so you can find more people that share your interests.

Hello!

I'm Josephine, and I'm a crackbaby. I've been an active member of Harry Potter fandom for about, um. Four years? Five? Active meaning in this instance "cracked out and screeching about nothing important while producing nothing of worth." I am a Swiss shipper in HP, but I do favor a few pairings here and there, most notably Remus/Anyone, and Fucked Up!Harry/Draco (as evidenced by my recent involvement in [livejournal.com profile] disfigureddraco!).

This summer, I joined [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar on a whim after staying up over 40 hours reading the post backlog, and my character, Bernard Mickey Wrangle, is now the Head Barman of that fine establishment, which was totally not what I had in mind! O_o

I also took the plunge into a brand new fandom this summer -- Good Omens. You can find my pathetic forays into writing Aziraphale/Crowley slash here (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=muffinbutt&keyword=My+Fic&filter=all), but it's mostly f-locked, so let me know and I'll friend you if you want to see. Some of my fic is based in Milliways canon, so look out. It doesn't always make sense to outsiders.

Um. :D! I also quietly ship Elizabeth/Norrington, but I'm completely inactive in that fandom.

;;)

Oh my, this is interesting. (Linked over here from the Back Room, in case you're wondering.)

Well, er, I'm Areia. I have a creepy fascination with Todd Bowden from Apt Pupil, since I play him on Milliways and all. I'm perfectly aware how odd that is and how it rarely endears me to others, but c'est la vie. :} Strangely enough, I'm also not one of those people who's read everything Stephen King has written, although I'm a great admirer of the guy. I still really like the idea of King slash in general - a very untapped field, for some reason (I don't think King fans are inclined...hell, they're not even generally inclined towards fanfiction). This may explain why myself and [livejournal.com profile] vikytickytembo have engaged in obscene amounts of Paul/Todd slash on Millis and surrounding environs. :D Someday I would like to throw Charlie Decker (from Rage) into that mix, too. I just like crazy teenaged boys.

I read HP as much as anyone else, but it's not something I think about much. Most of my "geeky" interests tend more towards the Asian side of things. I'm more interested in yaoi/shounen-ai than slash, generally speaking, but that's a whole other story.

I've written stuff but it's gooshy and friends locked and should probably stay that way. Heh.

I would also like to add that I am only mildly not psycho.

Well, I missed out on [livejournal.com profile] mctabby's, because by the time I saw it there were thirteen pages of it and the idea of going through it was daunting in and of itself and I didn't want to post without looking at everybody else first and doing some friending of my own so, um, I'll do this one!

I'm Lynette. I write... stuff, when I feel like it, or when I'm in boring classes. I was getting into it, but then [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar happened and, well... yeah.

As far as non-HP stuff goes, in Good Omens I'm a definite Crowley/Aziraphael fan. I'm just recently maybe getting into Brian/Wensleydale. I harbour vast amounts of B5 fangirlness, especially Ivanova/Talia and Marcus/Lennier. Also, anything well-written from The Tribe, of which there isn't much any; Fraser/Kowalski from Due South; Jack/Algernon from The Importance of Being Earnest.... My brain is dead, so that's all I can think of right now.

My journal has considerably more personal stuff than fandom in it, but I'm working on writing more. So! Maybe soon!

*g* We recently did Earnest in my modern drama class, and watched the film in which Colin Firth and Rupert Everett both wear green flowers in their buttonholes... and my brain went "Ooooh! Slash!"

Then my brain went "Wah! Incest!" followed closely by "Oooh! Slash!" again.

I owe [livejournal.com profile] wickedtrue an Algy/Jack fic sometime soon.

My theory on Ernest is that the ending is happy for all concerned because it legitimizes the affection between Jack and Algy as a permissible brotherly love rather than a disturbing homoeroticism.

I actually disliked the Firth/Everett film because it wasn't slashy enough. There was too much focus on Gwendolen and Cecily and the men's supposed love for them -- but one of the best bits about the play is the way in which the men really have no idea who the women they claim to love are.

By the way, it occurs to me that Gwendolen/Cecily fic would be beyond awesome. Too many plotbunnies, too little patience to write them out.

Okay, now I must write a fic that is Gwendolen/Cecily and Jack/Algy. We should cowrite! I've always wanted to cowrite with someone!

Oh, look, a thingy! Here, have some random information!

I make icons. That's what I do. I could make icons for you! Have a look at my portfolio (ie my user pics page, and shhhhhh, if you don't tell people its not a portfolio they won't know--I mean!).

I've lurked a bit in Harry Potter, different anime fandoms, Spiderman, Law and Order, and Sandman for the last three or four years in some cases. I've just not been interesting in giving back to the fandom that entertains me until recently.

Harry Potter is the only fandom that ever really had me interested in relationships. I've always been a Harry/Draco h0e, but anything well written makes me happy. For pretty writing is always the best.

I play Fleur and a multitude of others down at [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar. It ate my brain. I'm fine with that. I highly recommend all the other fine writers there. I am a small flea among literary giants. Everyone should fangirl those people. They make the crack taste so good.

I'm also a fashion whore, a food slut, and a rabid football fan. And I live in a theatre. And I <3 my Jane Erye book. That's all!

Uhh... uhh... *pummels brain*

I made the mistake of joining [livejournal.com profile] quiet_ones, a Draco/Blaise/Hermione community. It eats my mailbox. I can sometimes read Harry/Draco, but can't write it. For a while I was a fan of HG/SS, but then the fandom went to hell... which stinks, since I actually quite liked my WIPs for that. They're up at Ashwinder under the name "lunziek", if you're bored.

In other fandoms... I've grown rather fond of Crowley/Aziraphale, although I've never even seen any Brain/Wensleydale.

I ended up at [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar, where I play Granny Weatherwax from the Discworld. So far as Milliways goes, I join the crowds that adore David/Charlie, Broom/Bar, and a few others. I want to see more Indy/Paul father/son angst, too, but they haven't had a chance for it yet really. And I <3 the Evil [Color] Sentient Elven Vampire Roses.

I'm trying to wean myself away from Real Life. Milliways is helping. Now I'm just waiting for Kestrel to hopefully be approved, so I can get up to further shenanigans...

Um. Hm. Ahem. *clears throat*

I'm Sophie. I'm not what you'd call a fandom-specific person - I'll fangirl pretty much anything with snark in it, and if it has slashy potential, so much the better. If I wanted to divide myself up into neat little fandommy chunks however, I've written (badly) for Discworld, Good Omens, HP, and PotC. Counted among my stranger fandoms are Alexander the Great (the person, not any of the disgustingly fictionalised accounts of him), comic-verse X-Men (old-skool!), Macbeth, Cabaret, and Final Fantasy X (yes, I game on occasion. Bite me). Every now and then, I'll allow my brain to be eaten by a manga or anime series.

Major 'ships include Aziraphale/Crowley, Vimes/Vetinari, Jecht/Auron(/Braska), and Remus/Severus. Will not say no to any combination of the PotC OT4, Tonks/Charlie, Hakkai/Gojyo, Vash/Wolfwood, or Logan/Kurt. Or, um, movie-verse Toad/Nightcrawler.

I make bad icons, will occasionally make bad layouts, write the odd bad fic, and invented Fandom Underdog Day. I RP Crowley in [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar, the crackiest crack ever, and a fandom in its own right.

As you may have guessed, I am also shit at summing myself up.

Hi. I'm Andrea. I don't ever manage to finish fic when I start it, so I really can't advertise my fandoms and fic.

I may someday write more of a Paul-Stanton-and-Bran-Davies gen fic I started working on before it occurred to me that Milliways badly needed a Bran Davies.

That being said, I would love to see much more of the following pairings:

Jack/Algernon, as Lynette suggested above
Sir Gawain/Green Knight (They kiss in canon. Several times.)
Beowulf/Unferth (I don't think anyone's *ever* written this one. I don't see why not.)
Polyhymnia O'Keefe/Emily Gregory (all [livejournal.com profile] fox1013's fault)
Cimorene/Alianora from the Enchanted Forest books by Patricia Wrede.

Yes, of course I read Aziraphale/Crowley and Remus/Sirius, but happily, people already write those pairings much better than I could.

I'm Jill. College kid, and all that, but got my start in fandom in 8th grade, thanks to Daria. Don't write as much there as I used to, but I still poke my head in on occasion. Slash fandom came later, as I had a hard time noticing subtext before I read Good Omens, and now it's bloody EVERYWHERE. XD Other fandoms include Discworld, Enchanted Forest Chronicles (though I've only written the one drabble), and Milliways.
OTPs include: Daria/Tom, Crowley/Aziraphale, Brian/Wensleydale, War/Pestilence (Ah, Pestilence. The joy of developing a character off a one-sentence canon bit.)... gah. So many I can't even remember them all. There's an OTP-plugging section in my memories, from a meme an LJ friend started.
Community plugs: [livejournal.com profile] lower_tadfield (my GO community, though I generally pretend I'm just another member) and [livejournal.com profile] discworld_rpg (for those who don't get enough Millicrack! Or who just want to muck about in Ankh-Morpork/Bonk/wherever).

And Elmer. And would like to read some good fanfic in this fandom someday, please?). I also seem to be falling, kicking and screaming against my will, back into Troika slash from BtVS. I thought I left that fandom after Oz? Oh well. My ff.net stuff is here-ish:

Hi. I'm Meghan. I've been writing fanfic since before I knew there was such a thing, beginning at the age of eight when I wrote an epic addendum to the Narnia series featuring a Big Huge Mary Sue named, you guess it, Meghan. :D Real fandom involvement began, ohhhhh, three years ago I suppose, which is when I discovered Fiction Alley. So I've been around there for a while, and my stories are here. (http://www.thedarkarts.org/authorLinks/Rory/) They're not anything to write home about, although I am rather fond of "Into the West."

My HP pairings of choice are Remus/Sirius, Bill/Remus, Remus/Tonks, Oliver/ANYONE, and Tonks/Charlie...aside from that, I'll read anything at least once.

I'm also a crack h0r at [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar, where I RP Tonks. As such, I am now all about Good Omens (Aziraphale/Crowley, but of course), Neverwhere, and the myriad of other canons running around the place. I love Buffy in a major way, any pairings at all, and am a big sucker for Josh/Donna or Josh/Sam of West Wing. Am hoping to soonly get sucked in Discworld, so feel free to pimp any such pairings my way in order to reel me in. :D

Well, as I have nothing better to do, I felt I should chime in with a list of my fandoms and pairings.

I like slash. And yaoi. Alot.

I like Forever Knight (hence being LaCroix on Milliways), Weiss Kreuz, Hellsing (the anime), Angel Sanctuary (or pretty much anything by Kaori Yuki), CSI, Gravitation, umm... I'm trying to think of non-anime stuff and it's hard... I do like Harry Potter, as I believe so does everyone else on this list, as well as ..well, pretty much everything. If it involves at least two pretty boys I can put together, I'll like it.

As far as pairings go, the ones I actively seek out are LaCroix/Nick (yes, I am an UF-er), Harry/Draco, Youji/Schuldig, Xellos/Zelgadis (I know, it makes God cry... but it's so pretty visually!), Xellos/anyone, Farfarello/anyone, anyone from Lord of ther Rings/anyone else, and really anything dark or pervy. I'm always on the look out for stuff that has the potential to be sexxxy.

I tend to avoid the ladies, though. Het-fics are icky!

Prepare for ramblage.

I'm Becky. I'm a Sagittarius, and... oh, wait. No.

Although I'm not very active, fandom-wise, I figured this would be a good time for a general introduction-type thing. Ummm... let's see... My fandoms range from the mainstream (Firefly, Farscape, Harry Potter) to the obscure (Thunderbirds). My psyche enjoys tormenting me with thoughts of random and improbable crossovers, hence my unhealthy adoration of [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar. (I once wrote a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy/Men in Black crossover. I scare me.) As far as pairings go, I'm pretty much equal opportunity when it comes to slash and het. I'm a huge fan of good characterization - it's almost inevitably what attracts me to a particular fandom in the first place. I attribute this to not having very many real friends. I like shiny things.

(Wow, that was incredibly random. And on a semi-unrelated note, I finally saw Spaced. *squee*)

My name is not really Hogarth by night, my icon is just a liar. I am, however, really a pineapple.

What?

I'm Ji. I like all things French. And weird. Often these interests overlap, hooray! I write short things in lots of fandoms, um Discworld and lessee random things and more Shakespeare than I personally would like errr I think there should be the Joy Luck Club slash. Among other things.

Well, there's not much to tell.

My number one fandom is Discworld, and my OTP is Vimes/Vetinari. I'm also exceptionally fond of Snape slash. Depending on the author, I like Snarry, Snupin... heck, just about Snape/any male character, if it's well done. I think the world needs more Snape/Lucius.

My favorite fanfics are ones where the characters really stay, well, in character. I like humour and happy endings, but I loath fluff. I'm very happy with porn, but femslash and het are not usually on my menu.

You won't find any fics in my journal. Most of it is personal stuff. However, I do rec and pimp quite a lot.

Before I found Discworld fanfic, my OTP was Sam/Al from Quantum Leap. I also would love to find good fics featuring Crais from Farscape. I am not a Johnny Depp fan, but I swoon over Jack Sparrow. On the other hand, almost anything connected with Alan Rickman will get my attention.

Feeling very, very much in the minority here, but I don't do RPG.

The fanfiction that I've written can mostly be found on The Discworld FanFiction Archive (http://discfanfic.tripod.com/). Unfortunately I haven't written much of anything for well over a year, but I still read a lot and I do plan to go back to writing eventually.

I'm Lindra. I'm insane. This fact becomes quite rapidly apparent. I'm told I'm quite nice, though.

I have a tendency to be inspired by the randomest things and flood IMs with beautiful poetry-like writing that makes little sense but does anyway. I write unusual pairings. My fandoms are far and wide, and I will write anything if it occurs to me to do so, or if I'm asked to, or if it's suggested. I'm the person that writes Anthy/Moiraine and can make it even remotely palatable. I'm the person that wields the Grammar Nazi pen at my school. Main fandoms are PotC, HP, Good Omens, Discworld, Hyperion, Shakespeare, and various others that randomly take my fancy - anything and everything, really. I'm a writer. I write. I've written for years and shall continue to do so. It's the only thing I've ever done. I am a writer. I write. It's one of the defining things about me. *shrug* I spend a lot of time thinking and writing and reading and thinking, and I have odd thoughts sometimes, and sometimes I ramble. *shrug* I spend a lot of my time at [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar as well, like others here. I'm also officially the Archivist, but that's kind of gone to a lower priority since I have an exam in a few weeks and major work to do before the end of this term (and the school year).

What else is there to say? I'm me, I'm insane, I'm a writer, and that's all you need to know, really.

I'm Thalia (Milliways Roger-mun, Ender-mun, and Grima-mun). I ship Tiher/Marie in "Wolf Hunt" by Gillian Bradshaw, which is pretty much the ultimate obscure pairing, as I've never met *anyone* who's heard of the book. I also ship Ernesto/Alberto in The Motorcycle Diaries (even though that's kind of close to RPS, but not *really*...). I think there should be more Elizabeth/Anamaria in PotC. Also, Ulmo/Nienna forever!!11 (in the Silmarillion.)

I've written Lord of the Rings, a smattering of PotC, and some Bible-fic--it's over here (www.fanfiction.net/~thaliaweaver).
