I want to apologise to anyone I promised to RP with last night. I watched Dancer in the Dark. If you've seen that film, you'll understand why I couldn't possibly be coherent afterwards.

Usually, when I cry at films, it's a couple of tears I can surreptitiously wipe away, maintain my facade of lack of emotion. This film had me sobbing, tears streaming down my face, having to wipe my eyes just so I could see enough to keep watching. Bjork was an absolute revelation, I'd had no idea that she was so talented. It's an unbelievable film, and you all should watch it... but not unless you have someone to watch it with, someone you can hold onto.

I'll be around tonight. Again, sorry. *g*

I cried for 45 minutes straight after I saw that film.

And yes. To all of it.

It's ok. But you should read my Todd thread, linked in my journal. It's a precursor to the main event coming up, and it's creepy as fuck and so awesome.

Tell me, Josie. Why am I suddenly terrified for Bernard's health?

I did post several days ago that I am taking him out for the most part for November.

You should be.

I'll be letting the whole community know what's up once the plotting is complete, ok?

I know, but I was expecting something more along the lines of blind!Sirius. Seeing Todd involved in this is taking me to a whole new level of scared. At least tell me when?

*uses big, pleading Bettany eyes*

Looks like Halloween if we can swing it.

Thom and Paul and Todd are all involved, basically, it'll be sneaky, and they won't get caught until Bernard heals and is able to articulate what happened to him.

It's going to be a little violent and very cool. Don't worry.

Bernard will recover.

YAY!

*Richard selects a particularly nice bottle of Atlantean for him*

This is going to be crazy if for no other reason than Richard will be the only regular bartender left, and WAH! Bernard!

How are barstaff supposed to respond to the Ebil Trio? Richard would never serve them after that.

Wah, and Crowley won't even be AROUND on the Night Of Ebil, on account of me only being able to RP Friday and Saturday nights. Woe!

Methinks we shall have to Y!M conference about this tonight or tomorrow night, so we can all know what the staus quo is as regards the bar proper, and whether it'll still be functional, and how this affects the Milliways Power Ladder, etc.

*pats* Don't worry, Crowley will get angsty letters throughout the week, so at least he'll be in the loop and can be threatening via post.

Yes, we shall pow-wow RE: what the hell this means for the bar.

Yay, plot! Woe, Bernard! It's another whee/woe moment, I fear.

*sniffs*

I'll try to be around as much as I can. I have a seminar this weekend, though, so It won't be much.

Stupid seminar.

*hugs* 'Sokay, hon...I did an open Tonks thread for the first time in ages and was SWAMPED. So, not that I didn't miss you, but things were busy. :D

I've not seen Dancer in the Dark, but definitely want to. And no. Not seeing it alone. Am a huge dork and cry my eyes out at normal films; can't imagine how I'd be at this one.

I don't think I could handle a movie that relentlessly sad. I have a real block against heartbreaking fiction, whether it's film or written. Life is already depressing enough. When I'm experiencing something for pleasure, I want to escape that. Like I always say with fics, angst is fine as long as everything ends happy. That's why I ask for spoilers so much of the time. I'd rather not be surprised than be distraught. Which of course means that I miss a lot of really good films, literature and fics.
