I have just been to a Eliot lecture in a course I don't do, have made Valid Contributions, and have spoken of Hunter S. Thompson in relation to Prufrock.

I've been asked to attend again.

Apparently many of the class now despise me.

I'm so proud. It's not often I make Valid Contributions. I mean, I probably could, but my course, y'know, BORES ME SHITLESS. I'm definitely going to more of these lectures. The lecturer looks a little like David Bowie but older, and used the word ineffectual <3!

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That was me, too! I lost a friendship-acquaintance over Eliot, actually. Prior to an exam, she and I both commiserated that we may not have understood 'Rhapsody On A Windy Night'. After the exam, when my answer was photocopied and passed around the year, she refused to speak to me.

Heee, yeah I do that too. Not necessarily with the photocopying and such, but... my friend's remarkably forgiving. She tends to let me photocopy the handouts of lectures I've missed, and we work together, and she always works harder than I do, and I tend to do slightly better. *guilty*

I guess it didn't help that both my essays on Donne were passed around by the teachers as well, and my musings on the nature of beauty in the General Studies class. I think she was just *over* the photocopy thing.

Hey - high school was good to me. Life after High School I've had to struggle for *g*. Twenty four years down the track, I like to look back and remember when *g*.
