nnyAnyone want to reccomend me a yahoo mailing list? I'm looking for something interesting with a reasonable mail-load, say between 10 and 15 messages a day, no more than that. I have no idea what I want to read about- what do you think would interest me? Somewhere with interesting discussions'd be good, with people who know how to use capital letters... *g*

Date: 2004-11-18 02:31 pm (UTC)I'm also on a couple of disturbingly odd groups, like BoogaBooga, which is a Discordian group, and the Justice League of Denton, which is the local RHPS group... things like that.
On the other hand, you could join an SCA mailing list. Traffic varies, but the conversations are generally quite interesting, as long as you've got an interest in the middle ages.

Date: 2004-11-18 03:06 pm (UTC)Basically, a very very large group of people who think that it's loads of fun to pretend they're from the Middle Ages. So they do! Everything but the lack of bathing and the plagues, anyway.
Every weekend, *somewhere*, some event is happening. Usually even somewhere in-kingdom! Unfortunately, the kingdom of Drachenwald, which pretty much covers all of Europe (since y'all have all sorts of other groups as well, and even real castles and such), is... kind of spread out.
There have been some very interesting discussions about chivalry and the like on the Calontir list (the kingdom I'm in - the middle of the USA, basically.)
