Also! Another update! I read Going Postal. I'm not going to go into it, in case people haven't read, but if anyone wants to discuss in the comments, please do.

It's nice to see a return to form after Monsterous Regiment.

I agree wholeheartedly - I didn't much like Monstrous Regiment, especially because it followed Night Watch, which ranks as one of my all-time favourites. But I loved this one. It was a very...Slytherin novel, I thought :-P

Oh, most definitely. I love how... almost-ruthless Moist is. In places it wasn't the best ever, you know... What was that wizard called? Pelc? That was too rushed and smacked of exposition, like Terry knew where he wanted to go but wasn't that interested in the getting there. But definitely an improvement on Monstrous Regiment, and I have an obscure fondness for Drumknott, so more of him was cool. Especially the bits that indicated he might have insider knowledge of Vetinari. (Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more...)

I do wish Vimes'd been more than a couple of mentions, though.
