I'm going to make a post eventually, with all my pirate songs for stealing, but in the meantime:

I'm a Rover: Great Big Sea

I have developed a strange fondness for this band, purely because of the amount of piratey song titles they have. They're really good, in a silly-dancing kinda way.

And they have a song called duelling bagpipes.

Remind me to upload "Rant and Roar" for you sometime: old sea shanties never go out of style.

(Love that band. Yay Canada.)

not *precisely* piratical, but Brobdingnagian Bards are a RenFaire group... I like them. Using YouSendIt to send you a file of theirs. *hope it works*
(going to bloodygmail)

I have others... will come back with names shortly.

The Jolly Rogers are a *Pirate* band that performs at RenFaires - they're good. The Pogues did a Sea Shanty. Steeleye Span has done a few pirate-y songs. There are the standard songs you can find done by many: All For My Grog, Goodbye Fare Thee Well, A Health To The Company, Beer Beer Beer, Whisky in the Jar...

Boiled In Lead does an interesting thrash version of Gypsy Rover, and a group that I like very much called Annwn did a song about Anne Bonnie - one of the known *female* pirates. The Red Queen

Good Hunting!

ha! spamming you with comments
