Well it looks like the sock thing is a valid experiment. So, here goes.

If you'd like a story in exchange for some socks, please comment to this post with a pairing or character, plus a theme, mood, object or word, should you like. Allow me some artistic licence, though, eh?

The fandoms I will write in: Discworld, Good Omens, Harry Potter, Neverwhere, American Gods, possibly Johnny Maxwell. You can also ask for original fic with specifications, if that's what your fancy runs to. If there's a fandom I've forgotten about that you reckon I know well enough to write, you're welcome to ask for that too, 'though I reserve the right to refuse.

The stories will be at least 500 words in length; they might be longer depending on how the bunny strikes me. I'll try to write them in the order requested, but if I'm terribly bunnied I might ignore the order - you don't have to send anything until you've received your story, anyway. I shall endeavour to write something that satisfies you - I'm assuming if you respond you like the way I write, so. *grins*

I AM NOT GOOD AT PORN. I'm telling you that now. If you ask for smut, you'll probably get pretty euphemisms.

If you like your story then I guess I give you my address and you send me some socks. Brightly coloured and patterny, for preference. XD

...I.. would LOVE.. to randomly buy you socks. You have no idea how much it would entertain me to go sock-shopping for perfect (possibly awful) pairs of socks. Er. of course, I've no idea what I'd like to request from you. Can't go with my new obsession as it's not on the list, but you write such lovely stuff for all my obscure favourites and arg, choices are tricksy! So I'll give you your choice, and whichever happens to give you an idea, that's what I'd like. :D

I like: American Gods Jaquel/Ibis (YES I AM A FREAK, OKAY), Discworld Vetinari/Vimes, Neverwhere Marquis/Richard, and obviously GO Crowley/Aziraphael (and, to go along with that I'm a freak thing, also Famine/Pollution).

But actually it's so not even necessary to get fic in return. You will probably get several pairs of socks because it is simply the funnest gift request I have heard in a very long while. Toe socks yes or no? Shall attempt to avoid any Dobby-awful ones, anyway.
